By using Northern MI Events, creating a profile, submitting an event, posting a review, subscribing to email updates, or purchasing a featured listing, you agree to these Terms of Service.

About the Service

Northern MI Events provides a public event calendar for Northern Michigan communities. Users may browse events, create profiles, submit events, review events, and purchase paid featured placement when available.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your profile and for keeping your login credentials secure. We may disable accounts that submit spam, impersonate others, post misleading information, abuse reviews, or otherwise misuse the site.

Event Submissions

You may submit events that you believe are accurate, lawful, and relevant to Northern Michigan. You are responsible for having the right to post any text, images, flyers, links, logos, or other materials you submit.

Free event submissions may be reviewed before publication. Paid featured submissions may skip the standard manual review queue, but we still reserve the right to remove or edit listings that violate these terms, appear fraudulent, contain harmful content, or create legal or safety concerns.

Reviews

Reviews should reflect real experiences or good-faith opinions about an event. Reviews may be moderated by event holders or site administrators. We may remove reviews that are abusive, spammy, defamatory, misleading, irrelevant, or posted to manipulate ratings.

Paid Featured Listings

Featured listings are paid promotional placements for events. Featured placement does not imply endorsement by Northern MI Events. Payment does not guarantee attendance, sales, clicks, rankings, search engine performance, or any specific result.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the site to post illegal content, harass others, submit false or deceptive listings, upload malware, scrape the site at unreasonable volume, interfere with site operations, or violate the rights of another person or organization.

Content Rights

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Northern MI Events a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, promote, edit for formatting, distribute, and otherwise use that content in connection with the website and related event promotion.

Accuracy and Availability

We try to keep listings useful and accurate, but event details can change. Always confirm times, prices, locations, and cancellation information with the organizer before attending. The site may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time.

Limitation of Liability

Northern MI Events is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses related to event changes, cancellations, inaccurate listings, user content, third-party sites, or payment provider issues.
